Anti-melanogenic Activities of Different Extracts from Pistacia atlantica subsp. Kurdica

Background: Pistacia is a genus of flowering plants from the Anacardiaceae family that grows in different parts Iran. This has pharmacological activities, including antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-mutagenic, and anti-inflammatory activities. Objectives: In this study, we investigated anti-melanogenic effect extracts essential oil unripe fruits P. atlantica subsp. Kurdica on B16F10 cell line. Methods: The inhibitory was determined synthesis melanin, cellular tyrosinase, mushroom tyrosinase activity, oxidative stress by colorimetric fluorometric methods. Results: data showed all concentrations various had no cytotoxic cells compared to control group. Kojic acid as positive significant decreasing effects melanin content, ROS production (P < 0.001). Different decreased measured parameters, well production. Also, concentration study. major components were α-pinene 60.1%, myrcene 8.0%, β-pinene 5.2%. Conclusions: melanogenesis antioxidant may suggest plant new pharmaceutical agent reducing skin pigment aging cosmetic industry.
